I’ve been working hard on my swimming lately. I’ve recently engaged a swim coach and he’s identified lots of things I’m doing wrong and we are working on fixing them all. Here’s a short list:

1. I lift my head up too much, and so my back half drags.

2. I don’t breathe out enough under water.

3. When I do take a breathe, I lift my head out of my bow plane.

4. I don’t reach when I stroke.

5. I have flat hands.

6. I don’t roll my hips or shoulders when I stroke.

7. I kick too fast.

8. I kick from the knees, not the hips.

In short, everything.
